The National Enquirer is the paper of record on the John Edwards scandal. The paper reports that the former vice-presidential candidate John Edwards has proposed to Rielle Hunter, a videographer to whom he admitted to having an affair and fathering a child. They are planning to marry this summer.
Supposedly, Edwards proposed to Hunter shortly after it was revealed that he was the father of her child. The National Enquirer says, “(Edwards) is buying a luxury $3.5 million beachfront home where they can live happily ever after with their love child.”
It seems odd that the story of John Edwards and Rielle Hunter’s engagement is coming out right after the news broke that Elizabeth Edwards’ will left nothing for her estranged husband. Everything she had went to her kids.
