Will Muschamp: The New Florida Head Football Coach

William Larry Muschamp is an American college football head coach and former player. Last December 11, 2010, it was officially announced that he accepted the head coach position for the Florida Gators Football Team that embodies the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Muschamp previously worked as the defensive coordinator for the Auburn Tigers, LSU Tigers and Texas Longhorns.

Muschamp gained a reputation both for his excellent defenses as well as for his eager and fiery demeanor during games and practice. In his second season at Auburn, Muschamp was a finalist for the 2007 Broyles Award for the most outstanding assistant coach in college football. The University of Texas had formerly announced that Muschamp will succeed Mack Brown as head coach of the Longhorns, even though there's no exact time set for him to take over the program.
